K[otak]ku Virtual Art Residency

K[otak]ku Virtual Art Residency was a virtual art residency run by HAUS KCH during Covid lockdown days.

The residency was a space of joy, creativity and community in such isolating times, and I am forever grateful to have the experience.

For the K[otak]ku residency, a group of artists video called weekly to talk about their art pieces, creative process and get feedback. In the end we exhibited our work to the public on an Instagram live video.

For my piece, as we were allowed to cycle around the city during lockdown days, I wanted to map the city by memory from my daily bike ride experiences. I patched up a map of Kuala Lumpur through memories and moments. It may not be accurate, but it captured my Covid experience fully.
